WELL YEAH HELLO

Greeting the world with a sun-soaked South American-derived debut, Well Yeah is the solo project of former Los Bitchos founding member Carolina Faruolo. She's just dropped a fresh single, 'Hello', taking most of its influence from 60s-70s Psychedelic Cumbia and Chicha. Desertscape guitar twangs feature heavily in the track, alongside a skippy beat, evoking imagery of a South American cowboy galloping through sandy terrain. Percussion ornaments the track; eastern sounds of the tabla fuse with Latin cowbell for an unusual sonic cocktail. Carolina explains: It's called Hello cause it's what you would say when you meet someone new (in this case a new band!) and it's a solid snapshot of the band's sound. It's a collection of bouncy guitar riffs layered up with latin percussion, preferably to listen with a cocktail in hand and warm weather (paddling pool optional).”. 'Hello' is out now via South Coast tastemakers Strong Island Recordings. -Ellie Rose-Davies
